Christopher Nkunku will reportedly join Chelsea in the summer transfer window despite RB Leipzig confirming the forward faces an unspecified spell on the sidelines with a torn knee ligament injury which ruled him out of the World Cup.
Chelsea are believed to be willing to pay the striker's £53million release clause, with Sportsmail revealing in September that Nkunku had undergone medical tests in Frankfurt in September ahead of a possible move to Stamford Bridge.
The Premier League giants are expected to seal the deal, despite Nkunku's injury, as Le10Sport in France report that 'everything is complete' for the striker to make a summer switch.
