Christmas tree decorations: Chelsea captain John Terry shows off inventive festive spirit

As John Terry moves closer to the end of a glittering football career, few would begrudge the Chelsea captain the chance to look back on his personal highlights.

Monday saw the 15th anniversary of one of his fondest, when the 20-year-old academy product was made captain by Claudio Ranieri for the first time in a Premier League game against Charlton due Marcel Desailly and Graeme Le Saux's absence.

To celebrate, Terry dug out the vast collection of armbands he has accumulated over the years and shaped them into the No 26. Placed in front of his stunning Christmas tree, it made for quite the Instagram post.
