Chelsea have been monitoring Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer, a source close to the Turkish club has told ESPN FC.
Kjaer, 27, has been linked with Chelsea in the Turkish press, with reports claiming the Blues have made contact over a January move for the Denmark international.
However, a source close to the player told ESPN FC that they have yet to put forward an offer.
Kjaer has established himself as a first-choice centre-back at Fenerbahce under head coach Dick Advocaat, and has contributed three goals and one assist in 21 appearances.
The source close to the player said Kjaer, who has three years remaining on his contract, has settled into life in Turkey with his family and Fenerbahce are in no rush to sell him.
