Antonio Conte, the Chelsea manager, could be without two key players – N'Golo Kante and Alvaro Morata – for Saturday's league game against Crystal Palace.
The Blues are waiting to find out the extent of the hamstring problem Kante suffered on international duty with France, while Morata, who limped off with a similar problem in the defeat to Manchester City, won't be rushed back into action.
Given Chelsea's next opponents, Palace, are bottom of the table with zero points and without a goal scored this season, even good news on the pair isn't likely to tempt Conte into risking their fitness.
