Chelsea Supporters' Trust have reinforced their opposition to the Ricketts family's potential takeover of the club.

The Chicago Cubs owners are one of four shortlisted contenders to buy the Blues from Roman Abramovich.

The Ricketts' bid – which is backed by US hedge fund tycoon Ken Griffin – has been mired in controversy following Islamophobic comments made by family patriarch Joe Ricketts.

The 80-year-old, who has no role at the Cubs or in the bid to buy Chelsea, described Muslims as 'my enemy' in leaked emails from 2019.
