English Premier League giants Chelsea have submitted a $15 million bid for New England Revolution goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic according to multiple reports.
The news was first reported by The Guardian's Jacob Steinberg.
Petrovic would join Chelsea to fill the void created by Kepa Arrizabalaga's departure on loan to Real Madrid and provide competition to Robert Sanchez who was acquired from Brighton earlier in the summer. Edouard Mendy also left Stanford Bridge to join the Saudi Pro League.
The 23-year-old Serbian international joined New England two years ago from FK Cukaricki and is already regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in Major League Soccer.
