Chelsea are reportedly set to offer midfielder N'Golo Kante a lucrative new contract.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are determined to secure Kante's future, with the Frenchman having just over two years remaining on his current deal.
Last summer Chelsea rejected two bids for Kante, and they are now set to open negotiations with the 30-year-old in the next few weeks, although given the positive relationship between the club and the player there is no rush for talks to get underway.
Despite enduring some difficult moments towards the end of Frank Lampard's tenure, Kante got back to his best as the campaign wore on and he proceeded to produce an outstanding performance in Chelsea's Champions League final success against Manchester City.
