Romelu Lukaku has issued a grovelling apology to Chelsea fans for the controversial unauthorised interview that resulted in the axe and a huge fine.
The £97.5million summer signing will be fined at least a week's wages for giving an interview to Sky Sport Italy in which he confessed to being unhappy under Tuchel. Lukaku is understood to earn in the region of £325,000-per-week before bonuses.
Sportsmail reported on Tuesday how Lukaku was being pressed into apologising for the episode that has engulfed the club over the past week.
And having expressed his regret to head coach Thomas Tuchel during heart-to-heart talks on Monday, the 28-year-old has now said sorry to the club's supporters.
