Danny Drinkwater's fall from grace continued on Monday night after the Chelsea outcast was sent off for kicking out at Tottenham's teenage midfielder Alfie Devine in a Under 23s game at Kingsmeadow.
The 30-year-old, who joined the Blues in a £35million deal from Leicester City in 2017, has not made a senior appearance since March 2018 and is now maintaining his fitness with the club's academy players.
In a clash against the club's fierce London rivals Spurs, Drinkwater helped the young side fight back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 before setting a poor example to the Blues youngsters in the U23s side.
