Chelsea have opened talks with Benfica over a move for midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

The Portuguese club are reluctant to sell but believe Chelsea are willing to meet the Argentina star’s £106million release clause.

The 21-year-old, voted the Young Player of the World Cup this month, has made a big impression since joining Benfica from River Plate last summer for an initial £8.5m.
