Chelsea manager Antonio Conte does not expect Andrea Pirlo will join his coaching staff in the summer

Antonio Conte does not expect Andrea Pirlo to join his coaching staff in the summer after indicating the Italy legend wants to continue playing.

Pirlo has visited Chelsea’s Cobham training ground this season and was a guest of their Russian owner Roman Abramovich in his box when West Bromwich Albion played at Stamford Bridge in December.

Former Chelsea midfielder Ray Wilkins claimed during the week that Conte was lining up his former colleague to replace assistant Steve Holland, who will leave in the summer to join Gareth Southgate’s England set-up.
