Chelsea are reportedly talking to Lille striker Jonathan David with a view to buying him this summer.
Only Kylian Mbappe and Alexandre Lacazatte have scored more Ligue 1 goals in the last two seasons than the 24-year-old.
Lille's president Olivier Letang has said that David can leave and the Canada international has just a year left on his contract.
He places highly on Chelsea's shortlist of forwards, according to The Athletic.
The Blues are yet to place a bid but are said to have a solid working relationship with Letang because Chelsea's owners, BlueCo, also own Ligue 1 side Strasbourg.
