Gary Neville has taken another swipe at Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich by insisting that charity trustees 'didn't sign up to be used as a shield' after the Russian offered to hand over 'stewardship and care' of the club amid the war in Ukraine.
Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Abramovich, who has owned Chelsea since 2003, has attempted to distance himself from the football club after Parliament was told he had been named as a person of interest in 2019 because of alleged links to the Russian state and alleged 'association with corrupt activity and practices'.
