Chelsea target Marcelo Brozovic is ready to sign a new contract with Inter Milan which will include a £42 million release clause.
The midfielder was strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer as part of a deal which would see Cesc Fabregas leave.
However negotiations broke down, and since the arrival of Inter's new boss Stefano Pioli Brozovic has found his best form.
And, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Croatian will be rewarded for his performances with a new contract until June 2021.
Crucially Brozovic's fresh terms will include a release clause of £42m, which can only be activated by teams outside of Italy.
