Chelsea failed with an approach for Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon as they looked to secure a suitable back-up to Thibaut Courtois.
The Blues were looking for a new shot stopper in January as Asmir Begovic wanted to join Bournemouth for more first team football.
Boss Antonio Conte has confirmed that Chelsea looked at bringing in Gordon as a replacement but Celtic wouldn't sell.
"For Gordon, we tried because, I repeat, we tried to help Asmir Begovic to satisfy his request to go and play every game," said Conte.
