Chelsea stars Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah have both suffered hamstring injuries, according to reports.
Injury fears over the Blues captain were heightened at the weekend after James was substituted in the later stages of Chelsea's 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
Mauricio Pochettino claimed after the match that his substitution was due to 'tiredness' with the Argentine playing down any injury worries.
But according to the The Athletic, the 23-year-old, is 'not expected to make a swift return from his injury.'
James notably missed multiple games last season with a similar soft tissue problem and notably shared the toils he has had to go through in the past 12 months having battled through several injuries.
