Chelsea captain John Terry steps up his recovery from Swansea ankle injury with jog in the swimming pool

Chelsea could welcome back their talismanic captain John Terry sooner than expected having strained ligaments in his left ankle at the weekend.

The Chelsea centre back was injured after a late challenge from Leroy Fer in the 2-2 draw away to Swansea on Sunday and was set to miss at least 10 days of action.

However the 35-year-old revealed to fans on Instagram that he has been able to jog in a swimming pool despite nasty bruising but is most likely to miss Friday night’s clash at Stamford Bridge with Liverpool.
