Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is 'eager' to reprise his role as Italy boss, new Italian Football Federation commissioner Roberto Fabbricini has claimed.
Italy are yet to replace Gian Piero Ventura, who was sacked last November after a disastrous World Cup qualifying campaign, which saw them lose to Sweden in the play-off.
Conte held the post between 2014-16 and oversaw Italy's run to the Euro 2016 quarter-finals before moving to Stamford Bridge.
The 48-year-old is reportedly unhappy at the west London club, but he — along with Roberto Mancini and other former Blues coaches Carlo Ancelotti and Claudio Ranieri — is certainly in the running to become the national boss once again.
