Antonio Conte is bombarding his former club Juventus with big-money offers for their defensive stars in a bid to bolster Chelsea's back-line.
According to reports in Tuttosport, Chelsea are preparing a £48million offer for Leonardo Bonucci and have also not given up on signing his Juve colleague Alex Sandro.
The reports in Italy suggest rumours of a rift between Bonucci and Old Lady boss Max Allegri have given Conte hope that a significant offer will secure the veteran defender.

A separate report in CalcioMercato says the Blues will offer Bonucci a five-year contract worth £117,000 a week.
