Michy Batshuayi did all he could to impress new boss Antonio Conte as he bagged a brace on his full debut to put Chelsea into the third round of the EFL Cup with a narrow 3-2 win over Bristol Rovers.
Batshuayi bagged the first and third goals for the Blues on his full debut after impressing off the bench with a vital goal at Watford on Saturday. Victor Moses scored in-between but Chelsea did not have it all their own way as Paul Hartley made it 2-1 before Batushuayi's second.
After the break things got more tense for the Premier League side after Pedrio felled Stuart Sinclair allowing Ellis Harrison to pull another goal back from the penalty spot.
