Chelsea secured a 12th consecutive Premier League victory to strengthen their grip on top spot in the Premier League as Bournemouth were beaten at Stamford Bridge.
There was no Boxing Day stutter from Antonio Conte's side, who were given a thorough test of their credentials but claimed three points thanks to goals from Pedro and Eden Hazard.
It took 23 minutes for the hosts to open the scoring. Nemanja Matic, Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas worked space on the edge of the box and, when the ball came to Pedro, the Spaniard dug out a sublime, chipped finish which left Artur Boruc with little chance.
