Chelsea 0-0 Brighton - Thomas Tuchel's side labour to point as they edge into the top four, with impressive Seagulls nearly snatching victory after Danny Welbeck struck post late on

Chelsea were left frustrated in their pursuit of Champions League football after being held to a goalless draw by an impressive Brighton side at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues laboured in attack against Graham Potter's side but blew the chance to move above Leicester City into third despite climbing above fourth placed West Ham courtesy of goal difference.

Brighton had Ben White sent off for a second bookable offence in stoppage time but will feel they could have snatched victory with Danny Welbeck hitting the post late on in west London.
