Southampton were denied an equaliser when Charlie Austin attempted to bundle the ball over the line only for referee Martin Atkinson to award a foul after the striker made contact with Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
Southampton were 1-0 down when Caballero spilled the ball after Austin tried to head into the Chelsea goal.
Replays showed the ball had crossed the line and BT Sport's pundits believed Southampton had been hard done by.

Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard both said they felt the decision was wrong but Sportsmail columnist and former referee Graham Poll sided with Atkinson.
