Manchester City and Chelsea have been charged with failing to control their players during Saturday's Premier League match, the Football Association has announced.
In good news for Chelsea though, Cesc Fabregas has avoided becoming the third player to receive a red card from the ill-tempered match that Chelsea won 3-1 on Saturday.
The Blues feared that if referee Anthony Taylor's match report made no mention of his slap on Fernandinho during an injury-time bust-up involving more than 30 players, coaching staff and stewards on the pitch then retrospective action could've taken place.
Fernandinho responded by shoving Fabregas over an advertising hoarding and almost into the crowd as the melee threatened to get out of control.
