Boost for Real Madrid with Toni Kroos set to be fit for crunch Champions League semi-final against Chelsea after returning to training... but full back Ferland Mendy is likely to miss first leg with a calf problem

Real Madrid should have Toni Kroos available for Tuesday night's huge Champions League semi-final first leg against Chelsea.

The Germany midfielder has missed Real's last three games as a precautionary measure and has been working in the gym to prevent injury.

However, he returned to full training with his team-mates on Sunday and now appears set to feature when Zinedine Zidane's men host the Premier League side.

Toni Kroos, pictured in individual training last Friday, has now rejoined his team-mates

Kroos played an instrumental role in Madrid's quarter-final triumph over Liverpool and is likely to start the first leg of the semi-final if he proves his fitness.
