Bertrand Traore questions Chelsea's policy on youth as on-loan Ajax striker admits he feels ready for first team

Bertrand Traore has revealed his bemusement at Chelsea's pathway for youngsters into the first team after expressing his frustration at not being given the chance to shine this season.

Traore signed a year-long loan deal with Dutch giants Ajax in August, and the Burkinabe forward has scored three goals in 14 appearances for the Amsterdam club.

The 21-year-old was frequently used by Guus Hiddink in the second half of last season at Stamford Bridge, but Antonio Conte elected to send him out on loan shortly after his arrival in west London.

Traore is one of 38 Chelsea players to have been farmed out on loan for the campaign in a bid for more regular first team football, but the player himself feels he was ready to make more of an impact with the Blues this term.
