Ben Chilwell has apologised for his costly red card in Chelsea's Champions League defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
The defender was dismissed for fouling Rodrygo as the Brazilian threatened to race clear on goal after Marc Cucurella had been caught out of position and Federico Valverde played the ball beyond him.
Chelsea trailed to Karim Benzema's goal at the time of Chilwell's 59th-minute red card and went on to concede a second to Marco Asensio to leave them with a mountain to climb in Tuesday's return leg at Stamford Bridge.
