Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen were both eliminated from the Champions League on Wednesday night - with Yannick Carrasco missing the chance to win it as he fluffed a 98th minute penalty.
Diego Simeone's side had to win against the German outfit to have any chance of progressing into the last-16 of Europe's biggest competition but had to settle for a point after Carrasco's miss - with Xabi Alonso's men earlier pegging them back.
Carrasco had opened the scoring in the first half before Moussa Diaby and a first goal for on-loan Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi flipped the game on its head before the interval.
