Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall says Arsenal and Chelsea’s progression to the women’s Champions League semi-final should be a source of pride for the women’s game in England.
The Gunners were the first WSL side to make it through to the last four, overturning a 1-0 first leg deficit to beat Bayern Munich 2-1 on aggregate at the Emirates on Wednesday, before Chelsea’s penalty shootout win over Lyon on Thursday night.
The Arsenal boss believes the success is rewards for years of hard work behind the scenes.
‘Congratulations to Chelsea,’ Eidevall said.
