Antonio Conte: Chelsea need replacement before selling Begovic

LONDON -- Antonio Conte has warned that he has no intention of allowing Asmir Begovic to leave Chelsea in January unless a replacement is signed.

Bournemouth have made an approach for Begovic, reportedly with a bid of around £12 million, and Chelsea are actively searching for another established goalkeeper to provide reliable cover for Thibaut Courtois, who has started all of the Blues' 22 Premier League matches this season.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers insisted this week that Chelsea would be "wasting their time" if they try to prise his No. 1 goalkeeper Craig Gordon away before Tuesday's transfer deadline, but Conte is equally determined to keep Begovic if letting him go would jeopardise his squad's Premier League title charge.
