A record crowd of over 45,000 could attend the Women’s FA Cup final between Arsenal and Chelsea this weekend...as Jonas Eidevall looks to maintain his 100 percent record against Emma Hayes

A record crowd is expected at Wembley for this weekend’s women’s FA Cup final between Arsenal and Chelsea.

Over 45,000 tickets have been issued for what is the 50th anniversary of the competition.

The first final took place in 1971 after the 50-year ban on women playing the game had been lifted in the same year.

The current record stands at 45,423 when it was the same two teams - Arsenal and Chelsea - who played out the 2018 final, which the Blues won 3-1.

However, this did not surpass the record set by Dick Kerr Ladies on Boxing Day, 1920.
