MURFREESBORO – At some point late in the third quarter, MLK couldn't worry about the numbers on the scoreboard. After trailing by just five at halftime, the Royals hadn't scored a point in the third quarter for the first 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
What was a five-point halftime deficit turned into a Fulton rout as the Falcons rolled into the Class 3A state championship game, beating MLK, 72-32, on Thursday in the TSSAA Division I BlueCross Boys State Basketball Championships.
"Just keep playing hard," MLK junior forward Kendall Soloman said.
