The Golden State Warriors might make a surprising trade with the Charlotte Hornets before February’s deadline.
Golden State will be continually linked in trade rumors to huge names like Brandon Ingram between now and the deadline, but watch out for Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. to make a savvier, smaller-scale move, too.
Bringing in a veteran point guard to ease Stephen Curry’s ball-handling responsibilities would align with that strategy. That’s why Dunleavy Jr. might call the Charlotte Hornets about 30-year-old guard Vasilije Miciu0107, who, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, will be available via trade.
“In the backcourt, with Tre Mann seeing the bulk of backup point guard minutes, Vasilije Miciu0107 is a notable trade candidate to monitor in the eyes of executives around the league,” Scotto said.
