In order for the Philadelphia 76ers to turn this season around, they will need a clean bill of health from their star trio of Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey. If those three are healthy and on the floor, the Sixers are tough to stop.
However, the Sixers will also need Maxey to get back to who he is. Entering Monday's contest with the Charlotte Hornets, Maxey was shooting just 30.3% from deep and 40.8% overall. Those numbers are not going to cut it.
In a 121-108 win over the Hornets on the road, Maxey had a big night going for 40 points on 12-for-28 shooting, 6-for-12 from deep, and 10-for-13 from the free-throw line.
