This Charlotte Hornets rising star is out for the season

Miller has been a standout performer for the Hornets this season, averaging 21 points.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Hornets guard Brandon Miller is out for the season after getting surgery to repair his wrist, the team announced Thursday afternoon.

Miller suffered a torn scapholunate ligament in his right wrist earlier this week and the team initially listed him as out indefinitely. Now, the team said he underwent surgery in New York City to hopefully fix the issue and will miss the rest of the season.

The scapholunate ligament is the most frequently sprained carpal ligament, medical experts explained.
