Stephon Castle joins David Robinson, Tim Duncan in Spurs history after career game

San Antonio Spurs rookie Stephon Castle reached a new career high and joined some elite company in the franchise record books on Friday in a loss against the Charlotte Hornets.

Castle produced 33 points, four rebounds and two assists in the 117-116 loss on the road at the Spectrum Center. He finished by shooting 10-of-15 from the field, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range, and 10-of-11 at the free-throw line in 31 minutes off the bench.

The fourth pick became the seventh rookie in franchise history to record at least 30 points in a game, joining the likes of David Robinson, Tim Duncan and Victor Wembanyama.
