CAMDEN, N.J. -- The Philadelphia 76ers are still sitting at 8-16 and outside of the play-in tournament with Christmas right around the corner on the NBA calendar, but there have been positive signs recently.
Following a win over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday, the Sixers have won five of their past seven games and are only 1.5 games back of the Detroit Pistons for the final play-in tournament spot in the Eastern Conference. It's a good sign for a Sixers team that was once 2-12.
For the Sixers, there have been a couple of reasons why they have seen a turnaround in the win column.
