The Philadelphia 76ers, winners of five of their past seven games, are looking to keep things moving in a positive direction when they take on the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night. They will be looking to sweep both this home-and-home series as well as the 4-game season series from the Hornets.
With that being said, the bigger focus will be on the status of Joel Embiid. The big fella suffered a right sinus fracture in a Dec. 13 loss to the Indiana Pacers and was originally expected to be out for this contest. However, he is progressing quicker than expected and the Sixers have upgraded him in this matchup.
