PHILADELPHIA -- On Sunday night with the Philadelphia 76ers missing so many key offensive pieces, somebody had to step up against the Charlotte Hornets. The Sixers needed somebody to step in and provide something on that side of the floor.
That guy with the rookie in just his ninth NBA game. Jared McCain provided 27 points, 23 after halftime, and led the Sixers to a 107-105 overtime win over the Hornets. McCain was fantastic and the Sixers were sure to keep feeding him the ball.
"I think he’s just confident," said backup guard Jeff Dowtin Jr.
