The Rockets came out hot for a stretch grabbing a lead but that didn’t last long as the Hornets responded by going small midway through the 1st quarter and ended up tied by the end of the 1st quarter 26-26 despite only making 9 of their 21 attempts. Gordon Hayward ended the 1st quarter leading the team with eight points.
The 2nd quarter was a lot of back and forth the Hornets offense was clicking but that was lost in the way the defense was playing as Houston put up a good fight staying in this game.
