Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller, the second overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft, signed his rookie-scale contract on Saturday, the team announced.
He will earn $9,067,000 next season.
Miller established himself as the No. 2 pick on June 22 after averaging 18.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists on 38.4% shooting from 3-point range at Alabama. He was a consensus second-team All-American and was also the SEC Player of the Year.
The Hornets were said to be locked in on Miller as their selection throughout the pre-draft process. Miller worked out twice with the team ahead of the draft and met with team governor Michael Jordan on June 19, a meeting that solidified his case to be the second pick.
