The Charlotte Hornets added a point guard in the second round of the NBA Draft on Thursday.
With the 42nd overall pick, the Hornets selected University of Colorado point guard KJ Simpson. The West Hills, California, native joins power forward Tidjane Salaun, whom the team selected No. 6 overall, in Charlotte’s rookie class.
The 21-year-old averaged 19.7 points per game for the Buffaloes this past season. He hit the game-winning shot in Colorado’s NCAA Tournament win against Florida.
