Many fans had a variety of opinions on who the Charlotte Hornets should’ve drafted in the first round this year. With the 12th pick in the draft, the Hornets ended up selecting PJ Washington, the power forward out of Kentucky.
Washington is a two-year college athlete who decided to play another year in college following his freshman season. His play this year elevated his draft stock and is what ultimately what led to him being drafted by Charlotte.
During last season, Washington managed to average 15.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game for the Wildcats.
