Group play in the NBA Cup is officially over and the Philadelphia 76ers will look to move on with the rest of the regular season. The Sixers finished 2-2 during play in Group A and will not advance to the knockout rounds of the in-season tournament.
Therefore, the NBA needed to assign the Sixers some games to get them up to the 82-game regular season schedule.
The NBA has assigned a home matchup with the Indiana Pacers on Friday, Dec. 13 and a road matchup with the Charlotte Hornets on Monday, Dec. 16. These matchups will offer Tyrese Maxey and the Sixers an opportunity to try and grow as a group.
