Fresh off of being named the NBA Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month, Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball earned a bit more praise for his early play this season from team owner, and Hall of Famer, Michael Jordan.
Ball became the fifth rookie in franchise history to win the award multiple times after averaging 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.7 steals in 13 games in February. He led all rookies in points and assists per game while he was second in rebounds and third in steals.
“I think Melo has adjusted to the NBA game better than any of us ever thought this early in his career,” Jordan told The Associated Press.
