Marvin Williams’ seven 3-pointers spur Hornets to 98-86 win over Pistons

Marvin Williams scored a season high 24 points, including a career high seven 3-pointers made, and the Hornets clinched the season series over the Pistons with a 98-86 victory.

Both teams struggled from the field out of the gate. A Marvin Williams 3-pointer was the only field goal either team converted out of the game’s first eight shots. A Kemba Walker moon ball gave the Hornets their biggest lead of the quarter at 19-11, but a Pistons run quickly cut the deficit to one score. After one, the Hornets led 25-21.
