Memphis Grizzlies guard Marcus Smart left the preseason game against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday night after dealing with an apparent knee injury.
Smart appeared to injure the knee in the second quarter. While attempting a behind the back pass, Smart banged knees with a Hornets players. He immediately grimaced and walked gingerly afterwards before asking for a substitute.
After coming back into the game and finishing the second quarter, Smart didn't look normal as he attempted to play through the injury early in the third quarter. He eventually asked for a substitute and got his knee wrapped in ice.
