The Orlando Magic have two legit franchise cornerstones in Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, but they might be tempted to bring in a third superstar this winter to activate contender status.
On Friday, Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley envisioned a surprising turn of events in which Orlando pulls off a deal for LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets by sending Charlotte a beefy package of Anthony Black, Tristan da Silva, Jett Howard, Cole Anthony, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2029 first-round pick, as well as first-round pick swaps in 2028 and 2030.
“The Magic are so close to the championship chase they can almost touch it,” Buckley said.
