Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball took the NBA by storm last season, cruising to Rookie of the Year honors. The team managed to make the Play-In Tournament but were knocked out by the Indiana Pacers.
While he did enjoy a tremendous campaign, Hornets head coach James Borrego wants to see one specific thing from him in 2021-22. Basically, he wants Melo to be Charlotte’s Tom Brady. Via AP Sports:
“I want him to take the reins of this program,” Borrego said. “He’s the quarterback, the floor general and for us to take that next step he must run this team, not only on the offensive end but the defensive end as well.
