New York Knicks rookie Tyler Kolek has drawn the praise of teammates and the coaching staff this preseason, and the 34th pick in the NBA draft showed why on Tuesday.
Kolek neared a triple-double with seven points, nine assists and eight rebounds in a 111-105 win over the Charlotte Hornets. He went 2-of-9 from the field, including 1-of-6 from 3-point range, in 24 minutes off the bench as the Knicks (4-0) remained undefeated in the preseason.
The 23-year-old is earning rave reviews for his work ethic and professionalism early on. Knicks All-Star Jalen Brunson can see the work Kolek is putting in, according to James Edwards III of The Athletic.
